Job Description: Available Volunteer Firefighter/EMS Position General Statement of Duties: The Volunteer Firefighter position is intended to help the Cherryvale Fire-Rescue in its everyday operations and emergency situations. Cherryvale Fire-Rescue responds to medical emergencies, fires of all natures (vehicles, grass, or structure), motor vehicle accidents, and any other emergency that requires the department s response. Volunteers work with both career firefighters and other volunteers. Duties may require shift work, working in various weather conditions, and exposure to dangerous situations. Required Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age or older Must possess a high school diploma or GED equivalency Must possess a current Kansas drivers license Must be able to attend 75% of department training
