Patrol deputies perform general law enforcement duties in the protection of life and property with Pratt County.  The job shall require work involving patrolling rural county areas, enforcing all state laws, and county resolutions.  Deputies will be required to investigate crime scenes, accident scenes, make arrests, transport prisoners, attend court hearings, etc.  Deputies will be required to complete reports using a computer as well as be able to write.  Work in this position involves an element of personal danger and employees in this position must be able to act without direct supervision and exercise judgment in handling emergencies.  This positions requires the employee to work all hours of the day and all days of the week, including holidays.

Deputies are assigned a take home car equipped with radar, flir, laptop computer, GPS units, and much more.
