Job Description:
Position Summary:
Responsible for the development, support
and maintenance of SAP BI/BW version 7.0 connected to ECC 6.0 system including
the following SAP modules: MM, SRM/PPS, FICO, HRM and many non-SAP source
systems. Responsible for development, support and maintenance of SAP BPC 7.5
NW. BW/BI/BPC developer responsible for analysis, design, and development of
SAP BW backend components and integration with Business Objects for front end
reports and dashboards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s Degree from an accredited
college or university in CIS, CS or a related discipline. Three years of
progressively-responsible experience in business data warehouse, programming,
database administration, or any equivalent combination of training and
experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities and
competencies.
Major Job Responsibilities:
Follow BW, BPC and BOBJ best practices
and standards.
Analyze and configure BW/BI 7.0 data
environment to facilitate custom reporting and data analytics solutions.
Build and enhance BW objects such as
InfoObjects, InfoCubes, InfoSources/Data Sources, Master Data, Transformations,
DSOs, Extractors, Infosets, Aggregates, Process Chains, User Exits.
Interact with business to gather requirements,
prioritize work, develop enhancements to the existing system, coordinate
testing, and perform change management/training for BW Reporting and
applications.
Design data structures to optimize data
load times and end-user data access response times.
Perform analysis and design; write
technical specifications; configuration and programming in the SAP/BI
environment, including testing and implementation.
Perform program modifications, write new
programs, performance tuning, problem solving, debugging, and unit testing.
Design and develop BPC input template
and reports to meet user requirements.
Design and develop BPC script logic,
packages, package links, applications, dimensions, business rules,
transformation and conversion files and BPFs.
Design and develop reports in a variety
of SAP reporting tools including Business Explorer (BEX), Web Intelligence
(Webi), Dashboard Design, MS Analysis, Crystal and Universe Design. Pick the
right tool for the right job.
Solve organizational information problems
and requirements by analyzing requirements; designing software, developing
programs; recommending system controls and protocols.
Challenge inefficient or ineffective
processes and provide valuable alternatives.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and
Competencies:
Knowledge of highly complex ERP systems,
including by not limited to ECC 6.0, BW/BI 7.0 or higher, BPC 7.5 NW or higher,
BOBJ tools.
Knowledge of the SAP NetWeaver
application environment, including landscape design and SAP-specific strategies
and tools for change management.
Progressive experience working with SAP
BOBJ Reporting tools integrating with an SAP BW backend environment.
Experience in developing with multiple
programming languages.
Knowledge methods of developing business
process specifications.
Skill in testing business functions
within ERP.
Skill in customer service.
Skill in systematic problem solving.
Skill in time management and
organization.
Skill in public speaking and presenting
educational information.
Ability to communicate clearly and
concisely.
