Job Description:
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in appropriate discipline preferred. Two to five years of experience in golf coaching, instruction, or collegiate participation experience. Requires initiative and enthusiasm for on and off-campus recruitment; qualification for carrying out teaching assignments; related requirements. The ability to motivate or influence others with a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Must have knowledge of national rules and regulations. Computer skills helpful. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.
SCOPE OF JOB: Plans and directs the activities of the golf teams. Directs conditioning of students to achieve the maximum athletic performance, assesses players’ skills and assigns team positions, evaluates own and opposition team capabilities to determine game strategy, and coaches or instructs players in techniques of the game. Directly oversee each student’s progress within the College and meeting all of their graduation requirements. Will be responsible for the recruitment and retention of all athletes in the golf program.
ASSIGNMENT: Reports to the Athletic Director.
SALARY: Based on qualifications and experience.
