$39,166.40 - $43,180.80, Starting salary dependent upon licensure and experience

 

Job Objectives:

Provide professional services involving assessment, diagnosis, consultation and treatment of mental health disorders as described in the DSM-IV-TR.

Essential Job Functions:

Provide outpatient psychotherapy for adults including individual, group, and conjoint therapy. Conduct face-to-face interviews with new clients to assess their needs for services and treatment planning. Maintain documentation to include diagnosis, appropriate referral, licensure required information, history and family background, etc. Ensure client records are complete with documentation to include progress notes, treatment plans, termination summaries, etc. Provide consultation to families, parole officers, and various agencies.

Confer with staff and discuss cases, share information, attend and participate in outpatient staff meetings for clinical discussions and staff planning. Performs other related work as required.  May be asked to provide supervision of student interns or clinical supervision to other agency staff members.

Job Standards:

Must be an individual who meets the criteria for an approved mental health service provider (QMHP).  Minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.  Demonstrated proficiency in time management and multi-tasking required.  Competency in using a personal computer is preferred.  Possess demonstrated interpersonal skills, ability to work with persons with severe and persistent mental illness and/or severe emotional disturbance, and the ability to react effectively in a wide variety of human service situations.  Meet the specifications as outlined in the CMHC licensing standards.  Must document interactions in an electronic medical record.  Must have a valid Kansas Drivers license, proof of automobile insurance, and have the ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.

Equipment:

Computer, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel, fax machine, copy machine.

Work Environment:

Office based with occasional work in the community. This position does require some driving
