POSITION AVAILABLE:                        EQUIPMENT OPERATOR II

                                                                                    POSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED     

 

LOCATION:                                            RENO COUNTY SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:                             Skilled manual work, which involves performance of a variety of duties, associated with Solid Waste Management Department operations.  Work is performed under the direction of a foreman or other supervisory personnel. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:                                Requirements: Qualified experience operating at least two pieces of medium equipment as well as the light equipment used by Reno County Solid Waste Management department.  Must possess valid Kansas driver’s license when reporting for duty and have the ability to obtain a Class B CDL if requested by the Solid Waste Director.  Reading, writing and math skills; ability to understand, follow and communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; minimum 9th grade education; successfully pass drug screen and physical capacity profile.

 

STATUS AND SALARY:  FULL-TIME / 40 HOURS/ WEDNESDAY-SATURDAY

                                                                (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)

Grade 23 $12.89 - $15.10/Hour (DOQ)
