Usual working days/hours:

Monday - Friday; 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Location of work:

10530 E. 37th St. North

Job Objectives:
Manual work operating a tractor and other mowing equipment, including attached devices. Employees also do other unskilled manual work related to road maintenance activities.

Essential Job Functions:
Operates a tractor or other equipment with or without attachments for mowing County right of way. Performs minor servicing work such as refueling, lubricating, washing and making minor equipment adjustments. Operates power tools and hand tools including but not limited to chain saws and weed trimmers. Performs other road construction and maintenance work such as filling potholes, culvert work, ditch work and work zone flagging & setup. Performs other related work as required.

Job Standards:
Must be at least 18 years old. Must have valid Kansas Drivers license.`

Testing/Screening Requested:

Tractor, mowing equipment, power tools and hand tools.

Work Environment:
Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather. Must be able to lift 50 lbs without restrictions.
