Mon thru Fri and alternate a few hours on Saturday

Performs various maintenance duties to efficiently operate this County facility and keeping it in proper repair and clean and safe for public use
Essential Job Functions:
This will be a driving position as the employee will be required to drive to various locations. Performs various maintenance duties to efficiently operate this County facility and keeping it in proper repair and clean and safe for public use. This includes mowing; edging; weed control;
High School Diploma or equivalent. Two years general maintenance experience or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Valid State of KS Driver’s License, and meets the requirement of Sedgwick County Fleet Vehicle Operation and Usage Policy.
Criminal background history check / UA
This position requires the use of various tools and equipment invloved in the maintenance field from small hand tools to table saws, torches, welders,larger equipment such as riding and push mowers, snow plows, weed eaters, etc...
This positions environment varies and could require work in office settings, to roof tops, and out door work as well as work in the maintenance shop, outdoors in all weather conditions, and exposed to the weather elements. Chemicals and odors will vary from paints to paint thinners, gasoline, oils, solvents,cleaning agents, etc...
