Job Description:

AFTER YOU APPLY, THIS POSITION REQUIRES THAT YOU TAKE A Typing (40 WPM), 10 KEY (5000 KPH) and Data Entry (5000KPH) TEST IN ORDER TO HAVE YOUR APPLICATION CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.

Prior to taking the required tests your must register online at www.kansasworks.com (click on Job Seekers to Create a Profile).

After your profile is created you must take your test at the Wichita Workforce Center located at 2021 N. Amidon, Suite 1100, Wichita, KS 67203. There is no appointment necessary.

The hours are: Monday-Thursday: 7:00AM-6:00PM (Must arrive by 5:30PM to Test), Friday: 9:00AM-12:00PM (Must arrive by 11:30AM to Test)

Usual working days/hours:

Monday through Friday 40 hours

Job Objectives:
Record submitted documents to ensure legislative and organizational requirements are met. Perform basic clerical work in fiscal and clerical positions.

Essential Job Functions:
Understand basic accounting functions, customer service both in person and over the phone, explicit attention to detail, ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and oral instructions, ability to follow complex oral and written instructions

Job Standards:
Type 40wpm. Data Entry, demonstrate basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook. Knowledge of business English, arithmetic, and modern office practices, procedures and methods.

Testing/Screening Requested: 
Typing 40wpm, 10 Key and Data Entry 5000kph

Equipment:
Basic skills in faxing, copiers, scanners, 10 key calculator, and web navigation

Work Environment:
Office
