Job Title: Part-Time Recreation Center Attendant (Mornings)
Class Title: Recreation Center Attendant (Part-Time - Mornings, Monday through Friday: 7am-11am)
Salary Schedule: Hourly, Non-Exempt Range: Step 1($10.51) – Step 15($14.85)
This position is responsible for general cleaning and maintenance of the recreation building, building coverage and recreation program assistance. The employee must be courteous, professional, helpful and facilitate meeting each citizens needs. Position performs routine cleaning, maintenance, and customer relations.
Works under the general supervision of the Recreation Director and/or Assistant Recreation Director
Generally none. Some supervision over recreation activities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily cleaning all areas of the facility including but not limited to picking up trash, sweeping & mopping floors, wiping, washing windows, and cleaning restrooms.
Building/equipment maintenance and repair.
Opening of building, greets public, answers incoming calls, and assists customers.
Processes incoming payments for rentals, facility, or program fees.
Takes money and registers participants.
Monitors facility activities, makes phone calls, and clerical work
Conducts tours and assists with program facilitation.
Performs other related duties as deemed necessary or assigned.
Graduation from high school or GED.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must possess a valid Kansas Driver’s license.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Able to multi-task; work independently with drive and initiative.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Establish and maintain successful working relationships.
Work well with the public in difficult situations.
Working knowledge of computers, modern office practices/procedures
