Job Description:

Usual working days/hours: M-F 9am - 1pm

Location of work: Sedgwick County Courthouse

Job Objectives:
Provide janitorial, stocking, and misc duties to assist office in performance of daily business

Essential Job Functions:
Monitor and maintain all common areas in a clean and professional manner, including cleaning after meetings in conference rooms (up to 10 locations). Clean empty offices, assist with moving boxes, files, etc., janitorial duties as needed including cleaning refrigerators, microwaves and other areas as needed. Fill all copiers and printers daily; put away supplies; escort vendors for delivery of paper and supplies; Morning mail run throughout courthouse; Prepare financial deposits; Move files between floors/building (JEJ to Records, Records to Discovery, Discovery to Records, Records to Old Courthouse, Old Courthouse to Records); Breakdown boxes and take to corrugated dumpster; Shred and take shredding to dumpster including traffic area shredding bags; Filing in Records, moving files as needed; other duties as assigned

Job Standards:
Must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; Ability to operate shredder, stock cabinets and printers/copiers; provide support to adult records and administration; ability to communicate and understand instructions

Testing/Screening Requested:
criminal history background check and drug screen

Equipment:
Shredder, copier

Work Environment:
Primarily office but including taking trash and recyclables to compound as needed.
