Job Title: Assistant EMS Director
Salary: $60,000 - $72,000/year, plus excellent benefits (health insurance, KP&F retirement, paid time off, and more)
Position Responsibilities: Assist in the day-to-day operations and administration of the Pottawatomie County Emergency Medical Services. Plans, organizes, coordinates, and evaluates functioning of ambulance service, ensures appropriate training and supervision of staff to insure delivery of consistent, high quality care. This position is also a working member of the EMS staff responsible for daily coverage,and emergency responses.
Education/Experience Required: Bachelor's Degree in medical sciences or related field preferred. Five (5) years' advanced life support and supervisory experience ideal, an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
Special Requirements: Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, and be certified by the Kansas Board of Emergency Medical Services (KSBEMS) as a Paramedic in good standing throughout employment. Must be BLS Provider certified from the American Heart Association (AHA) upon employment and must have or obtain within 180 days of employment certification in Advanced Cardia Life Support, plus Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Pediatric Care (EPC).
