Duties and responsibilities include: Train on all types of motor vehicles transactions. Become knowledgeable of State policies and procedures. Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner to provide necessary information and paperwork for processing vehicle title and registration applications, commercial vehicle applications, corrections, refunds and registration renewals. Perform telephone reception and provide information relevant to vehicle registration and licensing. Process on-line renewal and payments. Responsible for the accuracy of transactions involving cash, checks, credit/debit cards and on-line payments. Balance cash drawer daily and identify discrepancies, take necessary and appropriate actions to correct discrepancies. Perform general office duties such as phone reception, sort and process mail, assist with inventory control, file daily paperwork, and provide needed correspondence to customers and any necessary follow-up. Assist other Technicians as needed. Assist in preparing tax statements for mailing. Collect tax payments received by mail and process as appropriate. Enter delinquent personal property taxes into State’s Motor Vehicle System. Occasionally work in other County offices. Collect delinquent personal property taxes for other Counties and mail payment to that County. Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of office procedures and practices.
- Must have one (1) year clerical experience/or related training.
- Must be able to type accurately.
- Basic computer skills desirable.
- Must be able to work with public and co-workers in a congenial manner.
- High volume customers service skills desirable.
