DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide desktop support services that include installation, maintenance and support of hardware and software systems deployed throughout the enterprise network. Will primarily provide support to the Saline County Health Department and the public safety departments at Saline County. Responds to helpdesk requests from the enterprise user community. Receive and prioritize support calls. Resolve end user technology problems via telephone, direct contact with the end user or via email. Build and deploy windows desktop computer systems for Saline County users. Maintain an inventory of both hardware and software systems deployed. Prepare retired hardware devices for disposal. Install and configure network printers. Maintain a master list of printers deployed throughout the enterprise network. Manage accounts in a windows active directory environment to include creating new accounts, removing accounts no longer needed, updating and changing passwords. Monitor and manage the windows update application WSUS. Server monitoring to include disk space utilization and windows patches required. Maintain and monitor the backup application in use at Saline County, primarily Veeam and Commvault.
- Must have a High School diploma or the equivalent.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable under Saline County’s fleet insurance policy.
- Must have two (2) years of experience or the equivalent in the desktop support environment.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must have experience working with Microsoft products including all versions of Microsoft office, Windows 7 and Windows 10 operating systems and the Microsoft active directory environment.
- Must have knowledge of enterprise backup solutions.
