ELECTRICIAN I                (Full-time)             

Reports to:  Electrician II

Starting Salary: $21.01 to $23.11/hour

POSITION PURPOSE:

Contributes to the overall mission of the City and Public Works Department by evaluating electrical problems and making repairs as needed; installs new electrical services and equipment as required. Recommends to Department or Division heads courses of action in situations requiring outside electrical contract services. The Electrician I installs and maintains electrical equipment at the Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants, well fields, pump stations, sports complex, swimming pools, airport runways, streetscape lighting banks, traffic signals, lift stations, and other City facilities.
