The City of Junction City announces the following job opening:
Dispatcher: Position with the Police Department operating the 911 system for City and County law enforcement, fire and ambulance services. Salary $13.00/hr. + benefits increasing to $14/hr. after training period.
This position works 12-hour shifts, including weekends, nights, days and holidays.
This full time position requires a High School or GED diploma, a valid driver’s license, must pass an extensive background check and strive in providing excellent service to the public.
APPLICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED ON-LINE TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION. APPLICANTS MUST COMPLETE A TYPING TEST AND OBTAIN A WORKREADY CERTIFICATE PRIOR TO TAKING THE WRITTEN TEST.
You must score 35 words per minute on your typing test.
IF YOU DO NOT OBTAIN THE WORKREADY CERTIFICATE AND TYPING TEST, YOU WILL NOT BE ELIGIBILE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WRITTEN TEST.
LT. NICHOLS WILL SEND AN INVITATION FOR THE WRITTEN TEST.
Workready Certificate and Typing Test can be taken at the Junction City Workforce Center at 1012 W 6th St A, Junction City, KS 66441.
