A wide variety of recreational opportunities is available in Hodgeman County. City of Jetmore offers a 9-hole golf course complete with ranges, fairways, tee boxes, and cart rentals. The golf course Club house also gives our golfers a place to cool off during a big game or just to kick there feet up. Also in the City of Jetmore is the Hodgeman County Swimming pool located near the Fair Grounds. Enjoy the diving board, slide, and gazebo all while being pool side! Swimming, skiing, boating and fishing are available at the Jetmore City Lake or nearby Horsethief Reservoir. Fishing is also available at the Hodgeman County State Lake. Hunters find a variety of game birds and deer in season. Naturalists can appreciate a stroll through Buckner Park or Kenyon Nature Park.
Hodgeman County is a safe community with low crime rates and proudly calls themselves the sunset capital of Kansas. City of Jetmore is also home to the Hodgeman County Health Center (HCHC) and the O'Shea Clinic, providing our community with a variety of levels of medical care. HCHC offers health and wellness services such as Acute and Emergency care, Out-Patient Service, Surgery, in-house Physical Therapy, an up-to-date Wellness Center, Diagnostic Services, and other associated services

· KPERS Life – KPERS provides life insurance equal to 150% of a members annual salary.

LEAVE and HOLIDAYS
Employees accrue 10 days of vacation for 1-10 years of services and 15 days after 10 years of service. Full time employees are also entitled to sick leave with pay. Hodgeman County employees enjoy legal holidays as established by the Board of Hodgeman County Commissioners. Comp time is also allowed to be accrued up to 240 hrs for non-public safety employees and 480 hrs for public safety employees. Bereavement leave is also provided to employees
