LYON COUNTY Court Trustee & Assistant County Counselor - is seeking a Full-Time Legal Secretary. This position provides legal secretarial support for the Court Trustee attorney and the Assistant County Counselor, and office manager. The employee shall assist the Counselor and Office Manager in maintaining attorney scheduling, preparation and maintenance of case files, oversee preparation and development of court pleadings at the district and appellate level, assist in case file preparation, take and transcribe dictated memos, prepare and file proceedings with the District Court, and other correspondence, etc. This position is responsible for performing a variety of legal secretarial duties.
- Excellent organizational and follow up skills
- Excellent computer skills and knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook (CPI and Billing Matters a plus)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple, competing priorities in an effective manner
- Ability to prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines
- Minimum typing speed of 60 wpm
