Job Title: Police Officer
The City of Holcomb (pop. approx. 2,190) is seeking a highly motivated individual for a full time Police Officer. This position provides law enforcement and public safety services to the community to include enforcement of criminal statutes and ordinances, traffic enforcement, crime prevention, patrol activity, accident investigation, resolution of domestic and other disturbances, prosecution support and non-criminal public safety services and other duties as assigned.
General qualifications are:
High school diploma or GED
Minimum age of 21 on the date of examination
No felony convictions
Possession of an appropriate, valid driver's license
Must have a driving record which meets the City’s insurance requirements
Must reside in Holcomb within 90 days of employment
Must obtain or possess a current full time KLETC certification.
Applicant must pass a complete background check and physical.
The City of Holcomb offers a full benefit package including health insurance, holiday leave, sick leave, vacation leave, funeral leave and KPERS. Starting salary depends on certification with the minimum set at $28,899.00 for an employee without full time KLETC certification. Please submit a resume with application.
