Job Title: Equipment Operator II - Asphalt
Salary: $14.11 Hourly
Position Responsibilities: Manual labor and the operation of equipment in the daily maintenance and construction of asphalt roads. This work involves the daily performance of routine road and bridge maintenance and construction activities.
Education/Experience Required: High school diploma, GED, or vocational school education is preferred. Other equivalent combination of training and experience accepted. Willingness and ability to work in extreme weather conditions a must.
Special Requirements: Possession (or successfully obtain within 60 days of employment) and maintenance of a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements mandatory. Air brake, tanker and hazardous materials endorsements are required.
Must have and maintain a clean driving record for this position. A “clean” record is defined as: No misdemeanor or felony convictions for traffic/vehicular offenses (such as but not limited to DUI, vehicular homicide, reckless driving, hit and run, etc.) that are less than five (5) years old; no more than two (2) at fault or chargeable accidents that are less than five (5) years old; no more than two (2) traffic infractions (such as but not limited to speeding, failure to yield right of way, etc.) that are less than one year old.
