Job Description:

Job Objectives:

This is an administrative level position that is responsible together with the facilities Manager, to see that assigned county properties are safe, maintained and serviceable.  Performance must be accomplished within the context of environmental awareness.  Preventative maintenance is a high priority.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Department Budget

  • Assist Facility Manager in annual Budget preparation
  • Monitor expenditures of annual budget
  • Communicate budget status to staff members

Tasking/Work Assignments

  • Coordinate work assignments with maintenance staff and outside contractors
  • Provide follow up checks to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Provides technical troubleshooting services, participating and directing repairs in complex county facilities systems

Contract Management

  • Plan, prepare departmental service contracts from start to finish
  • Manage service contracts
  • Keep detailed performance documentation of services contracts

Job Standards:

Minimum Qualifications

Educational Requirements:  Undergraduate degree in a field of study relating to the operation of facilities or equivalent experience or training which provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities or competencies.

Years of Experience:  10

License, certifications, etc… Trade License, mechanical, electrical or plumbing

 

Physical Requirements of Position:

Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work

The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

 

Work Environment:

Usual working days/hours:  Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Location of work:  525 N Main
