Crisis Intervention Services (CIS) and Same Day Access

  • BSW, MSW, LPC, MFT Foundation and Advanced
  • Hours:  Multiple shifts
  • Description of Learning Opportunities:  Training and assistance in answering the suicide prevention hotline and crisis hotlines. Assist with triage, screening for risk, resource linkage and referral, intake assessment, crisis case management, crisis intervention, risk assessment, mobile crisis assessment, and brief therapy.
  • Supervisors:  multiple available

 

Sedgwick County Offender Assessment Program – Dayshift

  • MSW, LPC, MFT Foundation or Advanced
  • Hours:  Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Description of Learning Opportunities:  Learning case management, safety planning, self-determination vs. intervention, resource management, networking, advocating, and working with diverse populations (ethnic, SPMI, poverty, homeless, infectious disease, addictions, legally entangled, transinstitutionalized, institutionalized, chronic health, personality disorders, etc)
  • Supervisors:  multiple available

 

Crisis Stabilization Unit – Any shift

  • BSW, MSW, LPC, MFT Foundation or Advanced
  • Hours:  any
  • Description of Learning Opportunities:  Learning crisis assessment/intervention/stabilization, program development, documentation review, safety planning, self-determination vs. intervention, resource management, networking, advocating, and working with diverse populations (ethnic, SPMI, poverty, homeless, infectious disease, addictions, legally entangled, transinstitutionalized, institutionalized, chronic health, personality disorders, etc).  Could also do community stabilization work with Transition Team.

Outpatient Services Therapy Clinic

  • MSW, LPC, MFT Advanced
  • Hours:  Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Description of Learning Opportunities:  Learning assessment, diagnosis, treatment of a range of mental disorders including anxiety, mood and thought disorders as well as personality disorders. Modalities include intake, assessment, outreach, individual and group therapy, and completing crisis assessments at the Community Crisis Center as needed.
  • Supervisors:  multiple available

 

Sobering and Detox OR Outpatient Addiction Treatment Services

  • Concentration BSW and MSW Foundation 1st year
  • Hours:  any
  • Description of Learning Opportunities:  Facilitate admission and discharges, provide information on health and wellness issues, provide educational assistance in acquiring new goals and skills, assist clients in developing an Individual Strength Based Assessment, Assist recovering individuals in finding affordable housing through self-advocacy, assists clients in feeling connected to recovery community, complete assessments, recovery planning and progress notes.
