City of Sedgwick, KS (pop. 1,720) is located 20 minutes north of Wichita and 15 minutes south of Newton exit 22 off I-135, and 5 miles west. We are seeking a full time City Administrator to lead a professional staff of police, public works, fire and administration.
The ideal applicant will have a Master’s in Public Administration, Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration or a related field and at least five years of municipal-government experience. The successful candidate will have meaningful municipal-government, municipal utilities, and finance experience, while demonstrating organizational leadership capabilities, project management skills, open communication, honesty and sound judgment. Candidates will need to communicate openly with council and the community to form a strategy of success in Sedgwick.
