Job Title: Childcare Surveyor
Pay DOQ. Part-time Weekdays only, no holidays, or weekends(includes full-benefits package: health, dental, vision, KPERS retirement, paid time off, and more)
Pottawatomie County Health Department is seeking a self-motivated, energetic individual that has a passion for children to work as a Child Care Licensing Surveyor.
The childcare program is a fast paced, multifaceted job, requiring a high-level of organization, problem solving and critical thinking.
Position Responsibilities: Upon complication of training primary duties, include not limited to: site visits to childcare facilities to assess and evaluate regulatory compliance; educates providers and the public on childcare licensing and registration; other public health responsibilities/duties, and general assistance with the daily operations of the Health Department.
Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in early childhood or elementary education, child development, social work, psychology, RN, or health related field is required. Two to three years of similar or related work experiences strongly preferred. The successful candidate must have excellent skills with verbal and written communication, computer literacy, ability and comfort to work with the public, including public speaking.
