Baldwin City is a community of approximately 4,200 residents located just southeast of Lawrence in Douglas County. Incorporated on September 27, 1870, the city is home to the oldest university in Kansas, Baker University, which was established in 1858. This beautiful college town still features hand-laid brick streets and wonderfully preserved historic homes as well as high quality new construction in a number of new subdivisions.
