Though commerce is prohibited by ordinance, Eastborough has been and continues to be home to some of Wichita's most prominent civic, cultural, commercial and industrial leaders. Residents are only minutes away from dining, entertainment, shopping, private and public schools, medical services and hospitals. Guided by a Mayor/Council form of government, the city has a centrally located City Hall that also houses the offices of the Police Department. Eastborough police officers enjoy a reciprocal relationship with Wichita police officers, readily assisting each other when needed.
